Palm Springs hot pools in Parakai have decided to exclude children from their facilities.
The decision comes after the tragic death of a seven-year-old boy in January.
The popular geothermal pools has announced it is now an 'adults only' venue, and will be restricted to people 18 years and over.
Prior to the decision, the facilities had included a dedicated children's area.
On January 17, emergency services were called to the pools after a young boy was found unresponsive at the bottom of the pool.
Despite being revived at the scene with CPR, the boy later died at Starship Hospital.
WorkSafe New Zealand is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the boy's death.
