Study reveals Kiwis concerned by Asian investment

Nearly half of all Kiwis believe New Zealand is allowing too much investment from Asia.

A survey by the Asia New Zealand Foundation also found more than 60 percent of kiwis know little or nothing about Asia.

Spokesman Simon Draper says that's despite the vast majority believing we should maintain economic ties.

"The more New Zealanders know about Asia, the better they feel about it. This survey has the lowest response that we've ever had to the question: Do Asians not mix well with other New Zealanders?"

The survey also found almost 50 percent of New Zealanders believe Asians are responsible for rising house prices.
