Police are continuing investigations this morning at the rural road south of Christchurch where a body was discovered two days ago.
Officers spent yesterday combing Drain Rd in Doyleston near Lake Ellesmere, and guarded the scene overnight.
The discovery has rocked the tight-knit rural community, with a lack of information only adding to the unease.
Since the unidentified body was discovered late Monday morning, police have only confirmed that the person was male, and they're treating the death as suspicious.
They're expected to reveal more this morning.
