The trial of a man accused of killing an Auckland teen with a hammer is set to begin.
Jiaxin Tu, 35, is charged with the murder of Shane Hawe-Wilson, 19, at a Panmure home in July last year.
A trial was set to start at the High Court in Auckland yesterday, but after the jury was picked, they were sent away for the rest of the day.
The Crown will now make its opening arguments on this morning.
Mr Hawe-Wilson was allegedly struck on the back of a head with a hammer while he slept.
