Two people are due in court over the death of Marcus Tucker, found dead on a road in a Canterbury town.
Police say Mr Tucker was brutally assaulted before his burnt body was found near Lake Ellesmere at Doyleston last week.
A 51-year-old man has been charged with his murder, and a 31-year-old woman has been charged with conspiring to assault and accessory after the fact.
The arrests led police to conduct a scene examination at a Bishopdale address on Sunday.
Both accused are due to appear in Christchurch District Court today.
