Two teens are due to be sentenced after being found jointly guilty of murder by brutally bashing a man, then robbing him as he lay helpless.

Leonard Nattrass-Berquist, 19, and Beauen Wallace-Loretz, 18 were convicted in April of the murder and robbery of Ihaia Gillman-Harris, 54, at the Ascot Motel in Epsom on December 27, 2014.

They faced three charges each of murder, aggravated robbery and unlawfully taking a motor vehicle and were separately found guilty on each count.

The pair will be sentenced in the High Court in Auckland on Tuesday.
