Search and Rescue (SAR) have led out six trampers who had to stay overnight in Auckland's Waitakere Ranges, with one 17-year-old injured.

Emergency services were called to a 17-year-old girl suffering knee and hip injuries on the Waitakere's Twin Peak Track, near Huia.

The girl was in a group of six trampers, and unable to walk.

The group was provisioned with tents and camping equipment, and set up camp for the night.

A SAR team were dispatched and reached the tramping party just before 10:30am.

At around midday today, the group, including the 17-year-old girl, walked out of the Waitakere Ranges.

Police say all members of the group are safe and well, and the girl is receiving medical treatment for her injuries.
