A paint truck rolled off Christchurch's Southern Motorway this morning and started leaking petrol.
Emergency services attended and a man in his 40s was taken to Christchurch Hospital with serious injuries.
Police say the truck went through the crash barrier and rolled down the hill.
They are investigating the cause of the incident, which happened around 10am, near the Curletts Rd exit.
