Mr Tucker's body was found at the end of Drain Rd in Doyleston, south of Christchurch on Anzac Day.

A 31-year-old female has also been charged with conspiring to assault and accessory after the fact.

Both are due to appear in the Christchurch District Court tomorrow.

Police are now conducting a scene examination at a property in the Christchurch suburb of Bishopdale.

"These arrests have been the result of a hard-working and highly skilled team of investigators," Detective Inspector Tom Fitzgerald said in a statement.

"This has been a challenging inquiry, but my staff have worked tirelessly throughout the week to ensure the family of Mr Tucker have some answers."

"I’d also like to thank the community for their support and understanding so far," he said.

"We’ve received an excellent response from them in terms of information throughout our investigation."

Police are also asking the public for any sightings of a grey 1994 Nissan Cefiro travelling between Ruskin St, Addington, and Leeston on the evening of Sunday April 24, or the morning of Monday April 25
