Auckland CBD has been labelled the worst place in the country for fights, brawls and serious crime. You are six-and-a-half times more likely to be a victim of violent crime there than the national average.

So is it time to go where the police want to and impose a lockout system?

Sydney and Whangarei have adopted this one-way door policy where bars close their doors to new punters earlier in the evening.
