Man charged after Cromwell stabbing

Police have arrested a man and charged him for wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, following an incident in Central Otago overnight.

Emergency services were called to an address in Cromwell, after reports of a man being seriously assaulted.

A male victim was found to have been stabbed in the arm numerous times and was taken by helicopter to Dunedin Hospital.

The suspect will appear in court on Monday.
