A pilot has walked away uninjured after a plane went through a fence in Raglan, while the police have been unable to find three people in another air crash in the Bay of Plenty.
Police said the light aircraft had ended up in a paddock after landing on a runway at Raglan Airfield today, but that the pilot had left the plane safely.
There were no other passengers and no petrol had leaked out, police said.
The airfield borders the Raglan Kopua Holiday Park which is a popular destination during summer.
Later in the day, a second light plane hit the ground and rolled at Pukehina, south of Tauranga.
Police said when they arrived the three people believed to be on board were nowhere to be found and their welfare was being investigated, although there is nothing to suggest they have been injured.
