A woman is in Middlemore Hospital with serious injuries after being assaulted in Arbor Close, Manurewa overnight.
A man has been arrested and police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this.
Police are also looking into another 'serious incident' in Mount Wellington, but are not giving any further details.
