A man accused of murder over a double shooting in Auckland can now be named.
Isaac Broughton is charged with murdering Shon Tyson Wanahi, 26, who was fatally shot outside Papakura Railway station in the early hours of March 12.
A 27-year-old man was also hospitalised with an arm injury in the same incident which left Mr Wanahi dead.
The 28-year-old defendant appeared in the High Court at Auckland today.
A trial date has been set down for March next year.
At the time of the shooting, police said they did not believe the incident was gang-related.
The accused has been remanded in custody.
