Two injured in Otahuhu apartment fire

Two people are being treated for smoke inhalation after a fire on the fourth floor of a Housing New Zealand apartment building in Otahuhu, Auckland tonight.

The fire on Princes St started at around 7:45pm.

The fire service says there was nothing showing on arrival, but the building was smoke-logged.

Forty-eight people have been evacuated, and 12 are unable to return because of damage. Two people are being treated on the scene for smoke inhalation. They are in a moderate condition.
