Police have arrested a man after he allegedly attacked two people with a weapon in the Palmerston North Hospital waiting room.
The man was waiting to be treated for a minor injury when he is said to have assaulted the pair with that's believed to be a large chisel.
He was detained by hospital security until police arrived.
He's been charged with wounding with intent and will appear in the Palmerston North District Court on Tuesday.
The victims were treated for their injuries and were also provided support.
