Pair arrested over Hamilton stabbing

Two men have been arrested in relation to the stabbing of a man at a Hamilton house on Monday.

The two Hamilton men, aged 20 and 24, have been jointly charged with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and will appear at the Hamilton District Court on Wednesday afternoon.

The victim, who is a former Black Power gang member, remains in Waikato Hospital as a result of the injuries he sustained.

He had been at the Frankton shops on Monday morning when some people dressed in black and red allegedly chased him into a house on Queens Ave.

The men then allegedly stabbed him in the thigh and head.
