The two Hamilton men, aged 20 and 24, have been jointly charged with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and will appear at the Hamilton District Court on Wednesday afternoon.

The victim, who is a former Black Power gang member, remains in Waikato Hospital as a result of the injuries he sustained.
