A driver has died after crashing their vehicle into a fence in the Auckland suburb of Penrose.
The Rockfield Rd accident happened just after 9am. Police say no other vehicles were involved.
They're asking motorists to avoid Rockfield Rd as emergency services attend to the scene.
Traffic diversions are in place between Konini Rd and Marei Rd, and expected to last until around midday.
The driver was the only one in the car.
The serious crash unit is investigating.
