Fashion lovers rejoice - international clothing retailer H&M has announced that its first New Zealand store will open its doors on October 1.

The H&M store, based at Sylvia Park, will be set out over two floors, spanning approximately 2300 square metres.

"We are excited to be making progress on our arrival in New Zealand and look forward to welcoming customers through the doors of H&M at Sylvia Park on the 1st of October," says Hans Andersson, country manager for H&M Australia and New Zealand.

The store will showcase collections for men, women, teenagers, and kids - including the H&M AW16 Studio collection that showed during Paris Fashion Week earlier in the year. H&M Studio is a collection of key seasonal pieces created by a dedicated in-house design team at H&M.

There will also be collections by David Beckham, Kenzo, and other fashion designers and labels.
