Palmerston North is taking time limits off parking meters.
From today people will be able to park all day in specially marked spots, but they still have to pay.
Palmerston North Mayor Grant Smith is hoping it'll bring more people into the city centre, helping retailers and other businesses.
The all-day parking trial will run for a year.
