Five occupants of a car involved in a Northland incident in which a firearm was allegedly pointed at a another vehicle have been arrested, police say.
The incident happened on Tuesday at Broadwood, north of Kaikohe.
Police said the car was driven away from the secne and was later found abandoned on Te Pua Rd.
The occupants - four men and a woman - were located and arrested, and ammunition was recovered.
Police said three of the five would face charges in relation to the incident.
They said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the case and cordons on State Highway 1 and 12 had been removed.
