Let's face it, we all love bogans - they're an important part of New Zealand culture.
But bogans have fallen on tough times and in places like west Auckland, they're an endangered species.
Fortunately, they're a thriving bunch in the Southland town of Gore and Story was there as they selected their first Bogan of the Year in the first annual Bogan Awards.
Story went to meet the winner who talks stereotypes and recommendations for those who are interested in becoming a bogan.
