Losi Filipo is no longer a professional rugby player. He had his three-year contract terminated this afternoon.
This was not because of the courts, a tough judge but because of views in the court of public opinion.
He's the young man, who alongside his brother, viciously attacked four people on a night out in Wellington last year - including two women.
His was discharged without conviction because the judge did not want to hurt his future as a promising young rugby player.
