Thousands of students across New Zealand will begin their final school exams on Wednesday.
Around 146,000 young New Zealanders are expected to sit the NCEA tests which run until December 2.
"This is an exciting time for students because it's the culmination of many months of hard work and study," Education Minister Hekia Parata said.
"I congratulate students for their efforts so far and wish them the very best for their exams."
She also paid tribute to teachers and principles who helped to prepare students for the exams, helping to produce fantastic results.
Results are expected to be released mid-January.
