Navy celebrates anniversary amid quake aftermath

Residents and tourists in Kaikoura are being evacuated on board Navy vessel The Canterbury.

It's a big operation, pulling people out and getting supplies in, and it's been all hands on deck.

International vessels, including US' and Canada's, arrived for the 75th anniversary and are now helping out with the quake aftermath.

Story caught up with the man in charge, Rear Admiral John Martin, to find out if the celebrations are still going ahead.
