The house where an Auckland mother of two was fatally stabbed last month has been damaged in a suspicious fire.
Emergency services were called to the fire on School Road in Te Atatu at about 5am on Saturday.
A Fire Service spokesman said there had been multiple fires started at the house and the blaze was now being treated as suspicious by investigators.
The two-storey home was believed to be vacant at the time.
Mother of two Carly Stewart, 36, died after an attack at the house on in October 15 and a 36-year-old woman is due to stand trial next year accused of her murder.
A police spokeswoman said a scene investigation was being carried out.
