How body process times vary for alcohol volumes

There's never been a better time to be a beer enthusiast, with the craft beer scene offering more variety than ever before.

There's also a huge variety in alcohol percentages. But what difference does that percentage actually make?

A standard 330ml bottle of 4 percent beer will take your body one hour to process.

Make that beer 6 percent and it's an hour-and-a-half.

If you're sitting on a 9 percent craft beer, you'll need nearly two-and-a-half hours for your body to deal with it; probably best you take that one slowly.

Choose a low alcohol beer, say 2 percent, and your liver will be good to go in about half an hour.

It's Christmas party season, so brewer Josh Scott talked Mark Sainsbury through both ends of the scale.
