A Timaru woman last seen being dragged into a van on Wednesday morning has been found alive and well, police say.
Nicole Smith was found on a rural road west of Timaru just after 5am on Thursday morning by a member of the public.
A 35-year-old man was arrested just before 7am and will be charged with kidnapping and breaching of a protection order.
"We are pleased there has been a resolution following our appeal yesterday," says Detective Inspector Darryl Sweeney. "Our investigation will continue into the exact circumstances of the incident."
