An 18-month-old was reported missing at 2am on Tuesday but was found unharmed about six hours later. An arrest was made later in the day.

He was granted interim name suppression to allow for a psychiatric report to be carried out, and was remanded in custody to reappear in court next month.

He faces a maximum of 14 years jail.
