A person has been seriously injured after being thrown out of their car when it rolled on Saturday night.
Due to that accident, three more vehicles crashed in a nose-to-tail about 100 metres from the original crash site, on Auckland's Southwestern Motorway near Mangere.
One person was taken to hospital with moderate injuries.
The accidents occurred at about 11:15pm, closing the motorway for several hours. It was re-opened at 3:30am.
