AUT Professor Welby Ings has always been a rebel.

Expelled from school and later suspended from college it's no surprise he wrote a book about disobedience.

Not bad for someone who couldn't even read until he was a teenager.

He spoke to Duncan Garner about why he believes our schooling stifles the creativity of kids, and encourages teachers to be disobedient too - by going against the curriculum.
