A body has been found in the water at the Wellington waterfront.
Police said the body was found at 6:30am on Friday at Queens Wharf near the TSB Arena.
The body was pulled out of the water at 7:30am and officers are in boat checking the scene. The gender of the body has yet to be released.
Queens Wharf is a busy area for morning joggers and commuters, with the East by West passenger ferry located nearby.
The maritime police base is also nearby.
