Kiwi on drugs charges in Indonesia after hotel room raid

A New Zealand man has been arrested in Indonesia, accused of possessing a cocktail of drugs.

Darren Lee Wong, 35, born in Otahuhu in Auckand, was arrested after police raided his hotel room at 11:50pm on Friday night by local police. 

Police reportedly entered the hotel room and searched his bag, where they found three packages of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine and MDMA in his iPad case. 

Wong, although born in New Zealand, is currently living in Sydney. 

Lombok police are investigating the case.
