It's time to slow down for Road Safety Week

  • 08/05/2017

Driving is the most dangerous thing most of us do on a regular basis.

One in three fatal crashes in New Zealand involves someone driving too fast.

In 2015, 101 people were killed in speed-related crashes on our roads.

More than half of those were children or young people.

As of today, there have been 129 road deaths on our roads this year - that's already 13 more than this time last year.

Brake NZ Director Caroline Perry spoke to Duncan Garner.
