A young child has been injured in a two-car crash in east Auckland, and has been taken to hospital with others hurt in the accident.
One person was cut from the car in a critical condition, two are in a serious condition and the child has moderate injuries.
The crash happened around 6:30am on Whitford-Maraetai Rd between Trig Rd and Clifton Rd.
Diversions are in place and people travelling from Beachlands are advised to go via Clevedon, police say.
