The Christchurch Adventure Park is hoping to re-open by the end of the year.

Ongoing progress is being made at the park with logging operations continuing to repair and rebuild the damaged areas.

"Subject to how the logging continues and how kind winter is to us we are aiming to be open for the summer season," the park says on its Facebook page.

The park was left in a charred and partially damaged state after the Port Hills fire tore through more than 3000 hectares in February.

At the height of the fire, flames forced the evacuation of the entire park as the blaze raced down the valley, threatening the main village.

The fire service was able to save the main village but the park's 18 mountain biking tracks and four ziplines were substantially damaged.

The $24 million adventure park had only been open for nine weeks before the fire hit.

It was recognised as the southern hemisphere's largest adventure park upon its opening.

After the fires, the park announced more than $1 million of refunds would be given to those holding certain passes to the park, as it would be closed indefinitely.
