Ministry of Education apologises to Christchurch schools but is it too late?

The Ministry of Education has apologised to Christchurch schools for its handling of the school mergers and closures after the 2011 earthquakes.

It follows the release of a report by the Chief Ombudsman which highlighted the flaws in the Ministry’s engagement and communications with schools and communities.

Phillipstown School was one of the schools affected by the education shake-up.
