A begrudged bride went on a knife-wielding hunt for her groom the night before their wedding, accompanied by Bandidos gang associates, a Christchurch court has heard.

Stephanie Jane McGrath, 27, pleaded guilty to wounding two men and assaulting a woman who were injured as she tried to find her fiancé.

Nicholas Andrew Hanson, 31, a Bandidos gang prospect, also pleaded guilty to the joint charges, saying he was the person who stabbed the two men and assaulted the woman.

The Crown told the jury that McGrath "had a grievance" with the groom, Christchurch Court News reports.

It's alleged she knew her husband would be at a house-bus celebration on Johns Rd that night so brought together a group and went in for an attack.

After being told the groom wasn't there, the group entered the house and three others were punched, kicked and stabbed in the head and face.

The group continued to threaten the groom, and were allegedly heard saying he was "finished" as they left the house-bus.

McGrath and Hanson are now remanded in custody for sentencing, but no date has yet been set.
