A man has been found dead in a home in Taupo on Thursday night, and police believe he suffered a gunshot wound.
He was found at the address on Whangamata Rd in the suburb of Kinloch at around 8:45pm.
Police and ambulance services were originally responding to reports of an injured man at the address.
A police spokesperson says the scene will be guarded overnight as officers continue to investigate.
