McDonald's in the Auckland suburb of Greenlane has teamed up with Uber to offer a delivery service.

It's the first McDonald's restaurant to join Uber's food delivery service, UberEats, with more expected in coming weeks.

Customers who are within a 10-minute zone of the McDonald's will be able to arrange a delivery, between 8am and 11pm from Sunday to Thursday, and between 8am and 1am on Friday and Saturday.

McDonald's managing director Dave Howse said they'd introduced the delivery service after a trial last year was popular with customers.

"We've had many requests to expand the service," he said.

"By partnering with UberEATS we're able to extend the availability of McDelivery, providing our customers with the food they love and new levels of convenience."

It comes after UberEats launched in Auckland in March. More than 70 Auckland eateries are already on board with the delivery service, including Al's Deli, Little Bird Unbakery, Molten and Tucks and Bao.
