Flights have resumed at Queenstown Airport after a light plane crashed on take-off on Tuesday morning.

One of the four passengers onboard was taken to Lakes District Hospital with a suspected broken ankle, but has since been discharged.

The other three passengers were not injured, an ambulance spokesperson said.

Around ten flights were affected by the crash, and airport staff are working to reschedule them.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
