A specific batch of Hellers sausages has been recalled over fears they may contain gluten, the Ministry of Primary Industries has announced in a statement.
Their Breakfast Angus Beef sausages are being recalled "due to the presence of an undeclared allergen".
The affected sausages have a use-by date of September 22, 2017.
Consumers with a gluten allergy or intolerance should not consume this product.
Those without an allergy or intolerance to gluten will be unaffected.
The affected batch are sold at Pak'nSave, New World and Four Square supermarkets throughout the South Island.
