Significant delays are expected to add to the frustrations of motorists heading home in peak hour traffic after a crash in central Auckland.
Police confirmed that a vehicle crashed into a pole on Onehunga Mall Road on Wednesday afternnon, which closed the Onehunga off ramp on SH20 northbound.
Authorities have advised motorists to avoid the area if possible.
NZTA said congestion has filtered back to Puhinui Road due to the closure of the Nielsen Street off ramp.
