A person has been killed and three children rescued after a car veered off Murfins Bridge in the West Coast.
A member of the public came across upside vehicle in the Otututu River at Ikamatua, just before 8:30pm on Sunday night.
Three children were rescued and taken to Greymouth Hospital.
And a person died after the vehicle they were in rolled in Wairoa around 7:30pm. Two others were injured.
