Do you support opening learning in schools?

Traditionally students are taught in the classroom with a ratio of one teacher to every 25 or so students. 

But times are changing, and now "open plan learning" has seen the move to a classroom of 70 students shared among three teachers.

A teaching style like this certainly diversifies the environment, but are there more negatives or positives for our children?
