Older Dunedin man missing since Thursday

The search for a man missing in Dunedin will continue Saturday morning, with people being asked to check their outhouses and sheds.

Gordon Mclean, 63, was last seen on Thursday afternoon, and is described as being frail. He is 152cm tall, was last seen wearing a dark-coloured polar fleece and trousers, a red-coloured polo shirt, brown slippers and a black puffer sleeveless jacket.

Around 50 Search and Rescue volunteers were scouring areas of Halfway Bush on Friday, with more expecting to join the search this weekend.

Police are asking residents in Wakari, Halfway Bush and Kaikorai to search their properties for Mr Mclean.
