A person has been rescued after becoming trapped in a ceiling at Auckland's Starship Children's Hospital.
Fire and Emergency NZ received a call from hospital staff around 8am about the young patient.
It's believed they had been in the ceiling for a number of hours already.
It's not known why or how they got up there, or if they are hurt.
Fire and Emergency confirmed the incident, but declined to discuss the details.
The Auckland District Health Board said that the patient climbed into the ceiling and eventually came down willingly from the ceiling space.
