Police appeal for help to find missing Christchurch restaurateur Jamie Bennett

Police are appealing for helping finding missing Christchurch man Jamie Bennett.

In a statement released today police said that Mr Bennet has not been seen or contacted his family since Thursday, October 19.

Mr Bennett may be travelling in a black Hyundai Tucson, licence plate DDT241.

Christchurch charity Fill Their Lunchbox posted on Facebook appealing for help finding Mr Bennett.

"Jamie runs Town Tonic on Lincoln Rd. and would watch ball with me out in Sumner. He is a great guy and a supporter of FTLB. Please share and keep an eye out while we hope for his safe return home," the post said. 

The original Facebook post announcing Mr Bennett's disappearance has been shared nearly 200 times.

Police say anyone who has seen Mr Bennett or his vehicle should contact Constable O'Donovan on (03) 363 7400.
