Police car stolen in Murupara

A police car has been stolen in the Bay of Plenty town of Murupara on Tuesday evening. 

The car was stolen from Oregon Dr around 7pm and a police spokesperson confirmed to Newshub officers are continuing to track it down.

The Eagle helicopter is also being used in the search.

The spokesperson could not confirm any other details, including who stole the vehicle.
