Staff have been left "traumatised" following an aggravated robbery in Tauranga on Friday afternoon.

Police say two men entered a TAB store in the Bethlehem Shops armed with what is believed to be a firearm, and took cash.

They fled in a white 1993 Nissan Sentra, which they stole from outside the store, with the registration number SB330.

"No one was injured during the incident but those at the scene were left traumatised and are receiving support," police say.

The pair, disguised in hooded clothing, are yet to be located. They are believed to be in their late 20s or early 30s.
